Welcome to our Interim Pastor – Will O’Brien.

Will O’Brien came to Philadelphia in 1985 to work on the editorial staff of The Other Side, an independent progressive Christian magazine.  He also worked with Project HOME, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization which provides solutions to homelessness and poverty in Philadelphia. He is founder and coordinator of The Alternative Seminary, a grassroots program of biblical and theological study in Philadelphia.

Will has previously served as interim pastor at Germantown Mennonite Church and West Philadelphia Mennonite Fellowship.  He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and has a graduate degree from the University of Virginia.  He is married to Dee Dee Risher, and they have two adult children.  They are part of an intentional community, Vine and Fig Tree, in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia.
